GPL Matchday 30: Hearts host Kotoko in super clash, Lions face Samartex

The 2024/25 Ghana Premier League hits Matchday 30 this weekend, bringing with it a host of crucial fixtures that could shape the title race and relegation battle.

The spotlight will be on the Accra Sports Stadium as arch-rivals Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko renew their fierce rivalry in the much-anticipated Super Clash on Sunday.

With both sides looking to assert dominance and gain momentum in the final stretch of the season, fans can expect fireworks in Accra.

Meanwhile, in Kpando, Heart of Lions will host defending champions FC Samartex in a challenging fixture. Lions are desperate to climb the table, while Samartex will be aiming to defend their crown with a strong away performance.

Elsewhere, Medeama SC welcome Vision FC to the TNA Park in Tarkwa today, with kick-off set for 15:00 GMT. Nations FC will play Accra Lions at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex, while Bechem United face a must-win game against relegation-threatened Legon Cities at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.

Aduana FC and Berekum Chelsea will square off in a Bono derby at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park, and Young Apostles will battle Basake Holy Stars at the Wenchi Sports Stadium.

League leaders Bibiani GoldStars will also be in action, facing Karela United at DUN’s Park as they look to maintain their position at the top.

All matches are scheduled for 15:00 GMT. With just five matches left in the season, Matchday 30 could prove decisive in both the title race and the fight for survival.
